If you have a domain in Network Solutions and would like to connect it to your Portfoliobox website, you can follow the steps below. Before configuring your domain DNS in Network Solutions, first you will need to add your domain to your Portfoliobox account.

  1. Click on the message at the bottom of your screen "Click here to set up your domain name". If you cannot see this message, you can log out from your account, clear the browser cache and log in again. 
  2. Under Set Up Your Domain Name, check the box "I want to use a domain that I already own".
  3. Finally enter your domain name under Your Existing Domain then click on Submit.

After this, you can go to Network Solutions and configure your domain.

  1. Go to My Products & Services and then My Domain Names. You will be redirected to a new page.
  2. Click on Change Where Domain Points, then select Advanced DNS and click Continue.
  3. Click on Edit A Records. If you see the Network Solutions default A records, you can remove them.
  4. Follow the instruction below and add our A record.



    5. Then add a CNAME record according to the instruction below by clicking on Edit CNAME Records under Host Aliases (CNAME Records) on the Advanced DNS main page.

       

Create an A-record for your domain name:

The A-record creates a redirection from yourdomain.com to www.yourdomain.com.

Create a CNAME for the subdomain "www"

The CNAME record connects www.yourdomain.com to your Portfoliobox site.

After adding the above settings, your domain should start working after the DNS propagation period that normally lasts no more than 48 hours. If your domain is still not working after 48 hours, please contact our support team for assistance.
